Rich Dad, Poor Dad is a joint work of American businessman, investor, author, and teacher Robert Kiyosaki and his partner and accountant Sharon Lecter, published on April 1, 2000. The book presents the story of two fathers from different social classes to show what rich fathers teach their children and what poor fathers do not. The main mission of this book is to teach the reader financial literacy (financial education), and the skills to start and acquire a business with asset investment, and real estate investment. Also, the book increases financial thinking (financial IQ) and improves business and financial skills. In Rich Dad Poor Dad, there are passages written in a fable style, where Kiyosaki presents his life story, reminiscing about his childhood, his "two dads" and the differences in their upbringing.
